14-18 Now bring Wave and Weeping Window Poppies to Lincoln

The Poppy Wave is a sweeping arch of bright red poppy heads suspended on towering stalks. These two sculptures, by artist Paul Cummins and designer Tom Piper, marking the centenary of the outbreak of war, are coming to Lincoln Castle 28th May 2016. (see more about the poppies click here)

On the way back try The Terrace at The Rest- World Teas and Coffees on sunny terrace with wonderful views over Lincoln (fingers crossed for the weather !). Located 2 mins from the Castle, follow Steep Hill down from the square just past the florists and opposite Clarins. The Rest is a great place to stop and enjoy freshly made paninis, sandwiches, cakes and pastries and a drink on the terrace or in the beautiful coffee house. 2 mins from the Castle and the Poppies.
